`O' Ringss

`O' rings are essential components in the automotive engine and machinery such as gear boxes, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder, pumps and compressors etc. It is used for preventing the escape of lubricating oil from rotating shaft and as also to prevent. Dust from entering inside the engine and other working parts when both contacting parts are stationery the seal is named as "static seal" and when in motion dynamic seal are used. `O' rings are most popular in use. The effect of temperature on oil seals based on following elastomers decreases from left to right Natural Rubber-Neoprene-Nitrite-Acrylate-Viton-Silica. With the rapid changes in pressure i.e. pressure differentials the seal life is reduced.
